In Golaghat CRPF jawan shoot himself with service rifle

Guwahati: In a tragic incident, a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawan allegedly committed suicide in Assam’s Golaghat, reports emerged on Tuesday.

According to reports, the incident took place in Uriamghat sector C of Golaghat district of Assam.
Initial reports indicated that Jawan shot himself with his 5.56-inch service rifle. The deceased youth has been identified as Gulab Hussain.

He has been identified as a resident of Pakabetbari village in Barpeta district of Assam.
Meanwhile, the reason behind the extreme step is not immediately established. Investigations are ongoing and more details are expected to emerge in due course.
