In Gohpur young girl abducted, gang-raped inside moving car

Sonitpur: Assam emerges from shocking Margherita rape and murder case Another such heinous incident has come to light in which a young girl was allegedly abducted from a moving car in Gohpur under Sonitpur district of Assam. She was gang-raped.
According to reports, the incident took place on Friday when the victim girl (20) was forcibly taken from her house by a man named Poransadgoura Basumatary in his car.

Two other persons were also present in the vehicle who allegedly recorded the entire incident on their mobile phones. They have been identified as Sohen Goyari and Vijay Mosahari.
Basumatary is said to be the mastermind of this heinous crime.

The victim later reached the police station and lodged a complaint after dropping her from the car.

Acting swiftly, the Assam Police arrested all the accused in a single night and booked them under relevant provisions of the IPC.
Further investigation is underway.

Earlier this month, the rape and murder of a 12-year-old minor girl in Margherita rocked the state of Assam.
The victim had gone to a Behu function with her mother on the night of May 1, but when she fell asleep, her mother left her at the house of the accused, who was an acquaintance of the victim’s family.

The next day, the family found out that the girl was missing, so they immediately informed the police about the situation.
The police then launched a search operation during which they found her body on Wednesday night in a septic tank of a hostel located near the residence of Anan Tanti (accused) and sent the body for post-mortem.
The incident created chaos in the area and the angry people vandalized the accused’s house at night and demanded his immediate arrest.

The policemen allegedly shot at Tanti when he tried to escape from their custody while he was being taken to the Margarita Police Station.
Initially he was taken to Margherita FRU. However, doctors later referred him to Tinsukia Civil Hospital for better medication, the police official said.

“His condition is still stable,” an official said.
