Assam: According to reports, a railway employee died on the spot after being hit by a train in Assam’s Goalpara on April 4.
According to sources, the employee identified as Dipankar Gowala was posted at Dudhnoi railway station where the tragic incident took place.
The police reached the spot and recovered the dead body of Gowala.
On April 1, a Railway Protection Force (RPF) jawan was killed by a moving train at Assam’s Dibrugarh Town railway station.
GRP informed that the deceased RPF personnel has been identified as Havildar Dhankumar Hajong.
Officials say that at first glance, it appears to be an example of an accident. However, investigation is the only way to determine the truth.
“The body has been sent to the Assam Clinical School for post-mortem examination. And we are continuing to investigate the incident,” Sub-Inspector Mrinal Deka said.
