In Goalpara BJP leader burtally murdered, body dumped on NH-17

Assam: A BJP leader was found brutally murdered in Assam’s Goalpara district on Sunday night.
The deceased has been identified as Jonali Nath, BJP district secretary of Goalpara. She was a resident of Matia.
The body of the deceased BJP leader was recovered from National Highway No. 17 near Shalpara, Krishnai.
Sources said unknown miscreants killed her and dumped her body on the national highway before fleeing the scene. Locals saw the body on Sunday night after which they informed the authorities.
Several injury marks were found on her body, indicating that she had been brutally assaulted before her death. According to reports, Nath was last seen by locals in a market on Sunday afternoon.
Later, the local police reached the spot and took possession of the body and sent it for post-mortem.

The police said that the investigation into the alleged murder has been started.
