In fresh violence in Imphal east Nine killed, 10 injured in an attack

Imphal East: At least nine people have lost their lives in the fresh wave of violence in riot-torn Manipur.

Apart from this, ten people were also injured in the violence.

The incident took place on Wednesday June 14 morning in Khamenlok area of ​​Manipur’s Imphal East district.

Manipur’s Imphal East district SP Shivkanta Singh has confirmed this.
“9 people were killed and 10 others injured in fresh violence this morning in Khamenlok area of ​​Imphal East,” SP Shivkanta Singh said.

He added: “The post-mortem process is underway.”
According to sources, suspected Kuki miscreants fired at people in the village, killing 9 people and injuring 10 others.

Apart from this, kuki miscreants also set fire to many houses in the village.

With the death of nine people, the death toll in the Manipur violence has crossed 100.

Manipur has been on the boil since May 3 following clashes between two communities in the state and subsequent widespread violence.
