GUWAHATI: One cadre of the Dimasa National Liberation Army (DNLA) was killed in police firing in Dima Hasao district of Assam.
The incident took place in the wee hours of Friday (September 15) at the designated camp of the DNLA at Maibang in Dima Hasao district of Assam.
According to reports, a clash broke out between some DNLA workers and the police on Friday (September 15) around 1:30 am.
The clash soon turned ugly and a DNLA activist was reportedly killed in the crossfire.
Meanwhile, two other persons have also received injuries.
The deceased DNLA freedom fighter has been identified as Abhijeet Hipela alias Ali Dimasa.
The two injured persons have been identified as Thomas Nunsia alias Rembo Dimasa and Dibaron Joharil alias Thinjhon Dimasa.
The injured have been admitted to Halflong Civil Hospital in Assam’s Dima Hasao district for medical treatment.
