On July 6, the Manipur Police, along with central security forces, launched an operation to eliminate bunkers in Kangpokpi, Imphal West, and Churachandpur districts.
Four bunkers were destroyed in this joint operation aimed at maintaining law and order. Additionally, other districts are also taking steps to eliminate similar constructions in the suburbs.
While the situation remains tense in some areas, with sporadic incidents of firing and unruly mob gathering in the last 24 hours, the situation is reported to be back to normal in most districts.
In response to these challenges, the state police and central forces have launched search operations in vulnerable areas of both the hill and valley districts.
