In Churachandpur cache of arms seized Myanmar base CKLA outfit

Imphal: In a major development, the Manipur Police, along with Central Armed Forces personnel, conducted a joint operation which led to the recovery of various types of arms, ammunition, Drugs and cash were seized by Myanmar-based militant group CKLA (Chin Kuki Liberation Army).
Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh announced the achievement on Monday through his official profile on social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter.
In his post, CM Biren Singh elaborated, “The seized weapons include AK47, Insas, Sniper and M16 rifles along with (a) large cache of ammunition.
Additionally, opium weighing around 2.5 kg, Rs 4,86,500 in cash and other items were also recovered.”
Further, CM Singh shared that the National Investigation Agency (NIA) had earlier initiated cases that indicated an ‘international conspiracy’ involving terrorist organizations in neighboring Myanmar and Bangladesh.
These groups were allegedly plotting to wage war against the Indian government by taking advantage of the unrest in Manipur.
“Today’s apprehension of CKLA freedom fighters and recovery of arms once again points to an international conspiracy aimed at destabilizing both Manipur and our nation,” the CM added.
