
In Chandmari, Guwahati two more cyber criminals arrested
Guwahati: Police have arrested two more persons from Chandmari area of Guwahati on suspicion of running a cyber crime racket from Assam.
According to sources, the accused are suspected of running illegal call centers in the city.
These call centers were allegedly involved in defrauding people of lakhs of rupees by pretending to be government or bank officials.
The two accused have been identified as Mahendra Shaan and Rajdweep Sadana. He was arrested by a team of Chandmari police station based on specific information.
Police say that they have also seized a car which was used by the accused.
They are suspected to be involved in an illegal call center which was busted in Subansiri apartment in Bamunimaidam area of Guwahati.
The police have started an investigation and are tracking more accused who are suspected to be involved with them.
