In BTR Assam police busts rookie terrorists gang 7 arrested

The Assam Police on July 2 successfully busted the entire network of terrorist groups in the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) of Assam, known as the Kamtapur Liberation Organization (KLO) and Boro Liberation Army (BLA), involved in extortion activities.
Announcing the development, Director General of Police (DGP) GP Singh revealed that seven persons have been arrested from various places in Assam, Nagaland and West Bengal in connection with the case.
In a Twitter post, GP Singh said that the Assam Police has busted the entire network of a terrorist group that wanted to extort money in the name of KLO and BLA in Assam’s BTR region. A total of seven people have been arrested from different parts of Assam, Nagaland and West Bengal.
The arrested persons have been identified as Daharu Bodo (43), also known as Dadhiram (money collector), from Tangla under Udalguri district. Amit Boro (39) from Rawta under Udalguri District; Buddhiman Debbarma (45) and Bijay Teron (23) from Barpathar under Karbi Anglong district; Rengwna Brahma, also known as B. Rwngwra (34), from Udalguri District; Bhumsa Chandra Boro (23), also known as B Bwkhangsa or Bhupen, from Dhula under Darrang District; and Kajal Ray (42) from Tamulpur.
Earlier this June, a press statement was issued by a newly formed militant outfit, addressed to both the central government and the state government of Assam, in which they declared their existence in BTR. had announced and demanded a separate state called ‘Boroland’ from February 1. 2023.
The core members of this emerging militant organization include B. Dwedingara (President), B. Rwngwra (Vice President), B. Ankhlai (Army Chief), and B. Bwkhangsa (General Secretary).
