In Bishnupur district gunfire opens one commando killed, 3 injured

Imphal: Heavy firing has been reported from Bishnupur district in Manipur between security forces and revolutionist of an underground outfit.

A gunfight reportedly broke out near Tronglaobi in Manipur’s Bishnupur district on May 11 morning.
A Manipur police commando has reportedly been killed in an exchange of fire.

Apart from this, three other persons have also been injured in the exchange of fire.

Earlier on Wednesday (May 10), an Assam Rifles personnel was injured after miscreants opened fire on a paramilitary column in Manipur’s Imphal East district.

After firing a few rounds, the miscreants fled. An officer of the Assam Rifles was injured in a bullet injury. He is currently undergoing treatment,” the army had said.
