In Bishnupur amid violence NIEDO, Army start coaching facility

Bishnupur: In a move to promote equal opportunities among students in Manipur, the Indian Army in collaboration with the National Integrity and Educational Development Organization (NIEDO) has set up a boarding school for students at Bishnupur, 27 km from Imphal. A coaching facility has been established. NIEDO is an educational trust based in Kanpur.

The comprehensive facility, established with the objective of providing quality education to underprivileged youth in Manipur, can accommodate fifty students. Students at the facility, despite belonging to different communities across the state, are living peacefully and there are no reports of conflict.
Despite the ongoing crisis, there are many students in Bishnupur who have not given up on their preparation for NEET 2023. The coaching facility has decided to support these students by providing them with a safe environment, essential facilities and regular counselling.
In the context of the current security situation in Manipur, the facility aims to provide psychological support to the students with the aim of de-stressing them, if any, and getting their minds ready for their studies. They have to help.
