
In Bihar's Patna Church workers from Meghalaya were assaulted
Meghalaya: Two church workers from Meghalaya were allegedly assaulted by unidentified miscreants in Bihar’s Patna, reports emerged on Wednesday.
According to reports, a group of people stopped the workers and abused them.
Patna SSP Rajeev Mishra was quoted by PTI as saying, “An incident has been reported in the Alamgang area of the city where people from Meghalaya and belonging to a certain community were allegedly attacked by miscreants. Beaten up… However, they agreed. Go to their native place without registering an FIR.
He further informed that the church workers have left for Meghalaya and they will be provided security till the final destination of the journey.
Meanwhile, Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma has condemned the incident.
CM Sangma tweeted, “Condemn the incident in Bihar where our elders of Presbyterian Church were assaulted by miscreants. Meghalaya Police directed to be in touch with Bihar Police who are helping our elders. , their statements are being taken to register an FIR against these miscreants.
