Itanagar: A taekwondo player from Arunachal Pradesh has been selected to represent India in the Asian Games to be held in Hangzhou, China in September this year.
Arunachal Taekwondo Association general secretary Likha Robin said that Radha Bangsia was selected after she secured first position in the selection trial organized by the Taekwondo Federation of India at Sports Complex Nadiad in Gujarat from June 16 to 18.
Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu has congratulated Bangsia on her achievement.

Seven players from Arunachal participated in the trial selection.
Both Bangsia and Nyodu will participate in a 50-day national preparation camp from July to August at the Lucknow-based Sports Authorities of India (SAI).
After that, he will undergo another 30 days of overseas training along with other 30 players, which will be organized by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports and SAI.
