Itanagar: The Border Roads Organization (BRO) on Monday claimed that its officials have restored connectivity within 72 hours along the damaged Ditte Dime-Migging road in Arunachal Pradesh’s Upper Siang district.
Border Roads Task Force (BRTF) Commanding Officer O Taki said that despite heavy rain, BRO personnel completed the diversion of the road and opened the road for all traffic on June 23.
Road connectivity was affected after an 80-foot bailey bridge over a tributary of Siang River, along with a dumper on the structure, collapsed on June 19, resulting in complete disconnection of border areas like Tuting Sub-Division, Taki said.
He added that BRO’s Project Brahmank staff immediately started construction of a diversion road and restored connectivity.
Upper Siang Deputy Commissioner Hage Lailang praised the BRO for its prompt response in restoring road connectivity.
