In a road accident dubious Assam Police SI Junmoni Rabha killed

Guwahati: A woman SI of Assam police was killed after being hit by a truck in Nagaon district on Monday night.

Assam Police Sub-Inspector (SI) Junmoni Rabha, who was posted at Morikolong police station in Nagaon district, died on the spot in the accident which took place on National Highway 37 near Sarubhagia village in Kaliabor at around 2 am.
Locals said that the accident was so impactful that the front and left sides of the vehicle she was traveling in were completely destroyed.

On receiving information, a police team reached the spot and rushed SI Rabha to Kaliabor Sub-Division Civil Hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead.Sources said that SI Rabha was traveling towards Jorhat when the vehicle collided with the truck.

Her body has been sent to Nagaon for post-mortem.

SI Junmoni Rabha made headlines in May last year for arresting her fiancee on charges of cheating.
However, she was arrested along with her ex-beau for alleged corruption in the league.

SI Rabha, who was then serving as Sub-Inspector (SI) at Kaliabor Police Station in Nagaon District, was arrested after two consecutive days of questioning.

Rabha was also embroiled in a controversy in January last year when her telephonic conversation with Bihpuria MLA Amiya Kumar Bhuyan was revealed.

They were engaged in a dispute over the harassment of their constituents by them.
