Imphal:In search operations Police recover huge cache of weapons

Imphal: Police in the conflict-hit northeastern state of Manipur have recovered and seized a large cache of weapons, ammunition and explosives during searches.

Search operations by the Manipur Police and other security forces were carried out in the “fringes and vulnerable areas” of several districts of the state.
These searches were conducted in Manipur’s Imphal East, Churachandpur, Imphal West, Kakching and Thoubal districts.
Eleven (Eleven) Arms, Twenty (Twenty) Ammunition, 02 (2) Kg Gun Powder, 01 (1) 51mm Mortar, 01 (One) 36 HE Hand Grenade, 10 (Ten) Homemade mortars (pumps) and 02 (two) radio sets were recovered from Imphal East, Churachandpur and Thoubal districts,” Manipur Police said.
The Manipur police and the state government identified the man in a seven-second video that surfaced on social media platforms showing the man’s body as a cookie.
This video of the burning cookie man was circulated on WhatsApp groups on Sunday (08 October).

The victim has been identified as 37-year-old Laldingthanga Khongsai alias Laljames..

Khosai belonged to Haokhongching village in the Kuki-majority district of Kangpokpi in Manipur.
