Imphal: Manipur Governor recognized educational work of Abesana

Imphal: Governor of Manipur  La Ganesan has said that Abesana Research Foundation is doing important services in the field of education. He was addressing a philanthropic function organized at the auditorium of Manipur State Film Development Society (MSFDS) Konung Mamang in Imphal on Wednesday.
The Governor said that Diana Rajkumari, in whose memory the Research Foundation is organizing these philanthropic activities, is an inspiration for the youth of the present generation. Although unfortunately, she died while studying for her PhD, she made significant scientific contributions to the field of horticulture to save endangered orchids, he said. In recognition of his invaluable contribution, he was awarded the Young Scientist Award.
The governor hoped that the foundation would continue to carry out welfare activities in different parts of the state to spread the message of the importance of quality education.
Union Minister of State for External Affairs and Education Dr. Rajkumar Ranjan Singh expressed grief over the untimely demise of his daughter Diana Rajkumari, saying that though we have lost Diana, we have many bright young women who The future of the country will be bright with the efforts of He said that the main objective under NEP-2020 is to focus more on employment. Under the policy, young citizens will be trained in diverse fields of education where they can be best suited for employment opportunities.

MoS Ranjan continued that many universities and colleges are equipped with digital platforms and 1,200 channels have also been introduced. Referring to the importance of women in education, Dr. Ranjan said that women should be at the forefront of education and development. He appealed to the students and teachers to maintain cleanliness in their schools and become environmentalists to fight the effects of global climate change.
The Governor along with MOS RK Ranjan Singh distributed bicycles, smart projectors, sports equipment and school bags to 90 girl students of 18 schools in Imphal Valley. The event was organized by Abesana Research Foundation under the patronage of Leela Foundation, India.
