IIT Guwahati lifted all epidemic restrictions, resumed classes.
Guwahati: The Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati was in turmoil. The IIT administration said it had lifted restrictions on epidemics and resumed physical classes for students. The institute has asked all students to return to campus in stages by March 21.
There are approximately 7,000 students and research scholars on campus.
There is no code case on campus, yet all the necessary precautions recommended by the government are in place and will be followed.
With the gradual opening of the institute, physical classes, laboratories and extracurricular activities have resumed and are running at full capacity. Research activities are in full swing and laboratories are working hard.
Along with educational activities on campus, cultural and sports activities have also started in earnest.
Talking about returning to campus, a group of second year students who have come to the campus for the first time after enrolling in IIT Guwahati said, “We are excited to be on campus! During all the physical lessons and meeting with our classmates / beach mates, we are charged with learning in this campus environment.
Faculty members were also excited to welcome all students to campus and to re-teach in the classroom and interact closely in laboratories.
