If Laos industrialists invest in industry in Tripura: CM Biplab Deb

Agartala: Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb on Monday said that industrialists have arrived in the state from Laos and he gave a detailed presentation on the potential of Agar industry. Addressing the main function of Kabi Parnam on the occasion of Rabindranath Tagore’s 161st birthday, Deb said, Come here from Laos to study the possibilities. . The company has an annual turnover of Rs 5,000 crore, and is keen to make private investments in our state.
Deb also told the gathering that a team of officials led by the chief secretary had recently visited countries such as Vietnam and Laos to study the industrial aspects of Agrowood.
“We have 7 million trees across the state. These plants were planted by local communities without the cooperation of the state government. For decades, local communities have been forced to sell products from agar gardens on the black market. “They did not have any permission,” Deb said, adding that his government had regularized the Agar trade in Tripura, which is now ready to give a positive impetus to the state’s economy. The Chief Minister further said, “The Laotian team has committed to private investment and has assured us that all Agar-based products will be manufactured here in Tripura.”
Criticizing the left, Deb said, “The name of Agartala, the capital of Tripura, comes from Agar. Everyone is aware of it. But the previous government never tried to recognize the sector. I asked Prime Minister Narendra Modi.” Speaking of export quotas, today we have been given an export quota of 25,000 metric tons which has never existed before.
