ICC World Cup final: India batting line restricted with total of 240
In the final match of the ICC Men’s World Cup 2023, India has set a target of 241 runs to Australia.
The Indian batting line-up managed to score 240 runs for the loss of all wickets.
Australia opted to bowl in the final match held at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
With half-centuries from Virat Kohli and KL Rahul, and Rohit Sharma dismissed for 47, the rest of the Indian batting line-up struggled to take the score to the targets they have managed for most of the World Cup tournament.
Australia will now chase a target of 241 even as India rely on their bowlers, particularly Mohammad Shami, Mohammad Siraj and Jasprit Bumrah among others.
