I lost my children yet CM has not spoken to me, SI Junmoni mother
Guwahati: Sumitra Rabha, the bereaved mother of late Sub-Inspector (SI) Junmoni Rabha, on Thursday claimed that even after losing her two children, neither Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma nor anyone else came to her or her.
“I lost my daughter a few months ago and now my son,” Sumitra Rabha said during a news conference. I’m feeling pretty lonely right now. Many people believe that the Chief Minister helped me or contacted me after the tragic death of my daughter, but this is not true.”
Sumitra asked the chief minister to bring justice to Assamese citizens, “I don’t want to take any help from the chief minister because he was not there when we needed him.”
“I have nothing more to gain now that I have lost both my children.” What do I do now? I am completely alone. Now the Chief Minister must give justice to the people of Assam as well as the media, who helped and supported him during the difficult times.
He spoke about the current inquiry into the death of his daughter Junmoni Rabha.
Sumitra Rabha alleges that despite investigations by Assam Police, CID and now CBI, no progress has been made in the case.
Rabha also questioned the CBI’s ability to recover the phone when the police and CID could not. On May 18, Chief Minister Sarma said that he was ready to hand over the case to the CBI if the family of the deceased policeman demanded it.
CM Sarma while addressing the media criticized the deceased and the police department and emphasized on justice. He also confirmed his readiness to transfer the case to the CBI if demanded by the family of the deceased. Consequently, the case was transferred to the CBI for further investigation.
