Himanta Biswa Sarma says except ULFA(I) all problems resolved

Assam: Hours after the pro-militant group Dimasa National Liberation Army (DNLA) signed a peace accord with the central government in Delhi on April 27, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma asserted that apart from the ULFA (I). All major issues have been resolved in the state.
Speaking to the media, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said, “This agreement will bring peace to the state. The representatives of the DNLA have agreed to renounce violence, surrender all arms and ammunition, disband their armed organisation, all Agreed to vacate the camps and engage in a peaceful democratic process. Established by law.”
He added, “With the blessings of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah, we have reached a tripartite agreement between the Centre, the Assam government and the rebel group Dimasa National Liberation Army (DNLA)/Dimasa People’s Supreme Council (DPSC). Signed.”
The Assam Chief Minister said that “except for the United Liberation Front of Assam (ULFA), all the problems have been solved so far. Gradually all the problems of all the northeastern states will be solved”.
The agreement between the Dimasa National Liberation Army (DNLA) and the Government of India paves the way for further peace in the state of Assam, where the DNLA was demanding an independent Dimasa nation.
Home Minister Amit Shah was present on the occasion and termed it a historic day for the people of Assam and the state. He announced that Assam’s DNLA has agreed to surrender and be part of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s development journey.
He said that there will be no more violence in Assam. All the forest-dwelling tribal groups have been mainstreamed. “Prime Minister Narendra Modi dreamed of a violence-free country, and his dream is coming true. Now the DNLA has given up violence, surrendered its weapons and ammunition, and is continuing the peace process. have joined the national mainstream.
This is very happy news. Assam’s Dima Hasao district is now free from militant outfits and terrorist activities. Now, all of them will have a social responsibility. 500 crore package for development of autonomous council.
