IMD forecast heavy rain expected in part of Meghalaya
Guwahati: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted very heavy rain in Sikkim, Assam and Meghalaya during the next two days.
“Light to moderate fairly widespread rain, accompanied by thundershowers, is expected over sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim till Friday (October 06),” the IMD said.
Additionally, light to moderate fairly widespread rain, thundershowers and lightning are expected over Assam and Meghalaya as well as Arunachal Pradesh till Friday (Oct 06).
On the other hand, Nagaland and Manipur are also likely to receive heavy rain with thundershowers on Thursday (October 05).
Additionally, isolated very heavy rain is likely over West Assam and Meghalaya on Thursday (Oct 05), the IMD said.
