Guwahati: Heavy rain in North-East Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Sikkim and Tripura. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted heavy rain in the northeastern states of Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura in the coming days.
Heavy to very heavy rain is expected at isolated places over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya on August 1 (Monday).
Heavy rain is also possible at isolated places over Sikkim, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura on August 1.
Additionally, there will be squall-like winds (speed up to 30-40 kmph) over northeastern states.Heavy rain is expected at isolated places over Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur and Mizoram on August 2 (Tuesday).
Fairly widespread rain with isolated thundershowers is likely over Sikkim and Arunachal Pradesh by Wednesday, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura by Friday.
