Guwahati: Heavy fog is expected at isolated places over Sikkim, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura during the next 24 hours.
Isolated snowfall is likely over sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim on Wednesday. On January 5, Arunachal Pradesh is predicted to receive thundershowers.
Maximum and minimum temperatures in Sikkim remained normal in most parts on Tuesday. The highest maximum temperature of 23.5 degrees Celsius was recorded in Mazitar (Pakyong) and the lowest minimum temperature of 3.5 degrees Celsius was recorded in Gyalshing.
Snowfall and fog has been recorded at isolated places in Arunachal.
Additionally, a fresh Western Disturbance is likely to affect the Western Himalayas from Saturday, January 7.
No cold wave warning has been issued for Northeast India.
