Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh’s Goods and Services Tax (GST) collection has seen a healthy growth of 27 per cent in December 2022 as compared to the revenue generated during the same period in 2021.
According to details shared by Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein on social media, Arunachal’s GST collection for the month of December 2022 was Rs 67 crore as against Rs 53 crore for the same month in 2021.
Mein, who is also the state’s finance minister, took to Twitter to congratulate the tax and excise department for ensuring smooth implementation of GST in Arunachal.
“GoAP has achieved a great milestone with 27% more GST revenue collection than last year. Congratulations to the Tax and Excise Department for ensuring smooth implementation of GST in the state. It is indeed a catalyst for economic growth. A great indication of our commitment to,” Mein said in a tweet.
