Head injury of a woman dressed in a condom pack at a hospital in BJP-ruled MP

New Delhi: In a shocking incident at a hospital in BJP-ruled Madhya Pradesh’s Morena district, a condom wrapper was used as a makeshift bandage to stop bleeding from a woman’s head injury. .

The incident came to light when a doctor at Morena District Hospital started changing the wound dressing of Reshma Bai, who was referred there from a community health center in the district.

Reshma suffered a head injury and was given initial treatment at the local health centre, from where she was referred to the district hospital.
When the doctor at the district hospital opened the bandage on his head, he was shocked to find a condom wrapper with cotton.

Morena Chief Medical Health Officer (CHMO) Rakesh Mishra said, “The doctor who was treating the woman at the health center allegedly asked the ward boy to put some cardboard-like material on a cotton pad. But he kept a cardboard. A packet of condoms instead.”

He said that the ward boy has been removed from the job with immediate effect, adding that an inquiry into the incident has been ordered.
