Guwahati medical college hospital doctor assault pregnant woman

Guwahati: Assam’s Guwahati Medical College Hospital (GMCH) caught fire after a pregnant woman accused the doctor of physical abuse.
The doctor has been identified as Abhishek Mahajan, a patient care technician (PCT) in the gynecology department.
Photos of the alleged victim’s injuries and facial injuries were widely shared on social media.

In response to the incident, GMCH Superintendent Abhijit Sarma has constituted a four-member inquiry committee headed by Dr BP Das.
Other members include Dr. Kankeshwar Bhuyan, Dr. Pankaj Adhikari, and Dr. Pradip Kr Das.
