Grandson of Mahatma Gandhi, Arun passes at age of 89

MUMBAI: Mahatma Gandhi’s grandson Arun Gandhi died in Kolhapur, Maharashtra on Tuesday after a brief illness, family sources said.

His son Tushar Gandhi told that the last rites of the 89-year-old writer and socio-political activist will be performed in Kolhapur today.
Born on 14 April 1934 in Durban to Manilal Gandhi and Sushila Mashrwala, Arun Gandhi followed in his grandfather’s footsteps as an activist.
