From Punjab National bank Ukhrul, over Rs. 18 crore looted

Imphal: A staggering sum of Rs. On November 30, Rs 18.85 crore was looted from the Punjab National Bank (PNB) center in Ukhrul Town, located in Viewland-1, one of the main bazaars.
According to reliable sources, the robbery took place around 5:40 pm, which was planned by around ten unidentified masked men armed with sophisticated weapons.
Punjab National Bank, formerly known as United Bank of India, recently changed to PNB. The incident happened with alarming precision, capturing both bank staff and security forces.
Reports suggest that at the time of the robbery, around eight personnel of the 6th Manipur Rifles were present in the bank, possibly for security measures.
However, the assailants managed to overpower the security detail and carry out the heist.
