
From May Elephant & Jeep Safari at Kaziranga to be Closed
Assam: The Assam Forest Department has issued orders to close elephant safaris and jeep safaris in Assam’s Kaziranga National Park for the tourist season 2022-23.
According to the Assam Forest Department, the elephant safari in the national park will be closed from May 1, 2023 and the jeep safari from May 16, 2023.
An order issued by the Divisional Forest Officer of East Assam Wildlife Division reads, “For general information and interest of all concerned, it is hereby notified that Elephant Safari for Tourists in Kaziranga National Park and Tiger Reserve. And Jeep Safari will remain closed for tourist season, 2022-23 as detailed below:
Elephant Safari will be closed from May 1, 2023.
Jeep Safari will be closed from May 16, 2023.
