Guwahati: China is building a 60,000 MW dam on the Yarlung Tsangpo stream, as per sources in the power service. The under development dam is on the Medog line which is near Arunachal Pradesh.
As per sources, China might redirect the water of Brahmaputra stream after the development of the dam.
Blockage of China’s dams could prompt water deficiencies or floods in Arunachal Pradesh and Assam.
Adding to this, the Service of Force said that India as well as Bangladesh might be impacted by the development of the dam.
Sources added that India is completely ready for any possibility.
“India is additionally constructing many dams in Arunachal Pradesh,” he added.
