
Four students injured in violent clashes at NEHU Shillong campus
Shillong: At least four students were injured in an ugly clash on the campus of North Eastern Hill University (NEHU) in Shillong, Meghalaya.
The altercation reportedly took place on Monday (September 18) at around 10pm.
According to reports, the clash allegedly took place between students of two different communities in the university.
The clash reportedly started when a group of students allegedly surrounded the students of Hostel 19 of NEHU.
There are also reports of stone pelting by students.
As a result of the collision, private property was also damaged.
Windshields and windows of several vehicles were damaged due to stone pelting.
However, the situation was brought under control soon after the arrival of officials and personnel from the Mawkynroh police station in Shillong, Meghalaya.
However, the actual cause of the collision is yet to be known.
