Guwahati: The people of Tripura witnessed four consecutive bombs exploded late on Tuesday night after a gap of fourteen years.

The blasts were reported from the Sekerkote Chai Bagh area under West Tripura district, which is about 14 km from Agartala city.
The first bomb blast occurred in front of the gate of a local resident’s house adjacent to the Tehsildar’s office, followed by the second blast a short distance away from the house. The third and fourth blasts took place at New Market and Motor Stand in Sekerkote area.

The intensity of the explosions was so high that their sound was heard from a distance of 4 to 5 km and the entire area was filled with the smell of gunpowder. However, no casualties were reported from the blasts.
The people of Agartala witnessed similar bombs exploded in 2008, when five blasts rocked the city in a span of 45 minutes, killing four people and injuring a hundred others.

A case has been registered against 12 persons under IPC sections 120b (punishment for criminal conspiracy), 384 (punishment for extortion) and 427 (mischief for causing damage to a sum of Rs. It has been investigated. running. However, no arrests have been made so far.
