For unrolling photos, videos of clashes Manipur Govt to take action

Churachandpur: The Manipur Government has booked the internet providers in Churachandpur for alleged collusion by miscreants to spread images and videos of communal tension/hatred/mistrust in relation to the current law and order situation in the state decided to take action against.
In a further notification, the state government has highlighted the names of eight usernames with passwords to DGG, Team Cell, Department of Telecommunications, Imphal for its investigation.

The department is further directed to submit a report to the State Home Department by June 1, 2023.
Meanwhile, the Biren Singh-led Manipur government on May 31 once again extended the suspension of internet services across the state till June 5.
Notably, internet services have been suspended in Manipur since May 3 after more than 10 districts of the state witnessed unusually violent clashes.
The state government is effectively banning internet broadband, mobile data in Manipur for at least 23 days from May 4.
The N Biren Singh government shut down the internet in some parts of Manipur from the evening of May 3. The government said the order was issued to prevent any disturbance of peace and order.
