Longding: With the 2024 Lok Sabha elections and simultaneous state assembly polls in Arunachal Pradesh less than a year away, political parties are targeting early voters and common people to make an impact. have started their preparations.
Today, the Nationalist People’s Party (NPP) held a massive political rally at the Longding General Ground, which saw the participation of thousands of party workers and personnel, unfazed by the adverse weather conditions.
The rally was attended by Arunachal Pradesh NPP president Thangwang Wangham, a prominent political figure and former minister, who took over the leadership of the party.
The event also witnessed the presence of Paknge Bage, General Secretary (Organisation), Tapi Sorang, Secretary, Damboy Ropuk, NPP State Unit Youth President, Former Minister Hejam Ponglaham, and several other leaders at the state and district levels.
During his address, Wangham lashed out at the Congress and the BJP, holding them responsible for the alleged corruption that has hampered the development of places like Longding.
Furthermore, the NPP president vowed that, if elected to power, the NPP would ensure substantial development in key sectors such as healthcare, education and communication within the state.
Wangham also told the gathering that NPP National President and Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma would soon visit Arunachal Pradesh to campaign for the party.
