For re-exam for failed HSLC candidates re-admission is compulsory
GUWAHATI: Assam Education Minister Ranoj Pegu on Wednesday said that students who failed the High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) examination will have to re-admit in Class 10 to appear for the re-examination.
The minister shared this information through a tweet and directed the students to refer the notification issued by the Board of Secondary Education, Assam (SEBA).
Minister Pegu wrote in his tweet, “Students who have not passed the HSLC 2023 exam will have to re-admit in class 10 for regular classes. Only then they will be allowed to appear in the subsequent examination. Please go through the following notification from SEBA.
Furthermore, Minister Pegu clarified that students will be allowed to re-admit to the same schools where they appeared for the HSLC examination.
However, if the parent school is not conducting re-admissions, students can opt for admission to any other school, provided the examination center remains the same as their previous HSLC 10th examination.
Candidates must note that their registration numbers will not be changed for re-admission.
