For polls drive Congress leader Rahul Gandhi reaches Mizoram

Aizawl: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi arrived in Mizoram on October 16 to campaign for the party’s candidates for the November 7 assembly elections. On reaching the state, the Congress leader took out a padyatra from Chanmari to Raj Bhavan, accompanied by his supporters.
According to sources, Gandhi reached Aizawl by helicopter from Tripura’s capital Agartala.

After completing the Padayatra, Gandhi will address a rally near Governor House and interact with students later in the evening.
On October 17, the Congress leader will meet party leaders and address a press conference in Aizawl. Later, he will also visit Lunglei town in the southern part of the state and hold a public meeting.
