Former Nagaland Chief Minister SC Jamir, Chief Secretary J. Alam and other senior government officials participated in the function held at Imkongliba AO Hall.
Jagdish Mukhi, who was appointed as the Governor of Nagaland on September 17, 2021, thanked the people of the state for the respect, love and support extended to him during his stay.

He hailed the new Governor of Nagaland, La Ganesan, who he said would lead the state through professionalism, independence and strength that the state needs.
Mukhi said that he is inspired and encouraged by his interactions with the citizens during his tours across the state and he gets full cooperation, support and blessings from all sections of the society.

Stating that corruption is the enemy of development and good governance, he urged both the government and the people to come together to achieve this national goal.
Commissioner of Nagaland, T Mahabemo Yanthan shared that Mukhi is a great motivation for every sector, especially the defense personnel manning the international border. He said that Mukhi has been a strong supporter of self-reliance in agriculture, women empowerment, youth entrepreneurship and connectivity.
He commended the governor for immediately closing the illegal check gates operated by unauthorized elements soon after assuming office.

Chief Secretary J. Alam said that despite his short tenure, Mukhi has made a positive impact on many important aspects of state governance and his experience and knowledge of finance play a vital role in guiding the affairs of the state towards greater efficiency.
The chief secretary credited the governor for accelerating the pace of infrastructure projects, especially the 4-lane Dimapur to Kohima road project, which was regularly reviewed.
The outgoing Governor was accorded the Rashtriya salute by Nagaland Police troops at the Assam Rifles Helipad, Kohima before departing for Assam.
