Imphal: In response to the recent devastation caused by a hailstorm and heavy rain in Manipur, the European Union (EU) has allocated €250,000 (equivalent to Rs 2.26 crore) in humanitarian aid.
This assistance aims to provide critical support to the worst-affected areas and those most in need.
Administered through EU humanitarian partner ADRA, the assistant is expected to benefit over 1,500 vulnerable families severely impacted by the natural disaster. The primary focus of this aid will be on distributing essential supplies such as food and emergency shelter kits to individuals whose livelihoods and homes have been adversely affected by the storm.
By prioritizing the provision of immediate relief and assistance, this aid package aims to help affected communities cope with the aftermath of the storm and facilitate the process of rebuilding damaged houses and restoring livelihoods.
