
For Disrupting SSC exam, Six Veer Lachit Sena members arrested
Guwahati: At least six Veer Lachit Sena members were detained by the police for allegedly preventing several candidates from appearing in the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) GD examination held in Guwahati, Assam.
The incident reportedly occurred at the E-Com Tower in Borjhar, where the candidates arrived for their exam.
The members stopped them on the pretext that they were not residents of Assam.
There were reports that for this some genuine candidates missed their exam and creating a chaotic situation at the venue.
The police intervened and detained the Veer Lachit Sena (VLS) members on the spot.
This event has sparked a broader debate on the balance between advocacy for indigenous rights and ensuring equal opportunities for all residents of Assam.
