For 2024 LS polls BJP lays down booth management plan

Agartala: BJP’s election machinery is never off duty.
After the party retained its stronghold in the recently held assembly elections, all eyes are now on the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
To speed up the party’s political activities, BJP National General Secretary Organization Shiv Prakash and North-East Coordinator Sambit Patra recently appointed teams responsible for micro-management of state BJP chiefs and booths in North-Eastern states presided over a meeting.
“The examination of assembly elections is over but the final examinations of 2024 are around the corner. In view of this, it is very important to re-energize the grassroots setup of the party and hence the focus is now on organizational stability,” B. JP Tripura State President Rajib Bhattacharjee said.
According to Bhattacharjee, the vetting process for the state is very easy as the party has a ready report on the recently held elections. “It is more clear to us which booth is functional, where our performance is growing and who is the black sheep in the organization. So, we have been asked to ensure that booth committees are fully The organization has to be implemented. Some will be restructured, and those who have performed well will remain unchanged,” Bhattacharjee pointed out.
A senior BJP leader familiar with what transpired at the meeting in Guwahati said Bhattacharjee had told the central leadership that the BJP would definitely win both the Lok Sabha seats by a good margin.
He had said that BJP’s vote share in the Lok Sabha will definitely increase as compared to the assembly elections. According to him, several factors were responsible for the decline in BJP’s performance in the assembly elections. But traditionally, the ruling party in the Lok Sabha has always had an extra edge in Tripura,” said a senior BJP leader.
Senior leaders, however, advised all state leaders to keep an eye on the ground situation and changing political dynamics.
