Guwahati: The flood situation in Assam is getting worse from last few days.
The flood situation in Assam remained critical on Wednesday.
Several districts of Assam received heavy rain overnight, leading to flooding in several parts of the state.
Around 40,000 people have been affected by the latest wave of floods in Assam so far.
The victims have taken shelter in the relief camps established in the affected districts.

Around 50 villages in four districts of Assam have been affected by the fresh wave of floods.
Dhemaji, Lakhimpur and Dibrugarh districts of Assam have been affected by heavy rain.
Meanwhile, floods in the Jatinga river affected several areas in Assam’s Dima Hasao district.
In Assam, the Brahmaputra River is flowing above the danger mark at Neamatighat in Jorhat.
Light to moderate rain is expected at several places in Assam and Meghalaya.
