Five residential houses burnt to ashes, woman dies in fire explode

Guwahati: A woman was killed on Sunday after a massive fire in Assam’s Guwahati’s Jorabat gutted several houses.

The deceased woman has been identified as Sujata Chaudhary.
The fire started near a commercial establishment and quickly spread to a nearby residential area.
The exact cause of the fire is not known, but after the fire spread, three LGP cylinders also burst.

Police and fire brigade officials brought the fire under control after a long struggle.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
No further injuries or casualties were reported after the incident.

However, property worth lakhs of rupees is suspected to have been burnt to ashes during the incident.
