Guwahati: The first ever Future Skills Summit 2024 is scheduled to be held on 15 February 2024 in Guwahati. The summit is organized by the National Institute of Electronics and IT (NIELIT) in collaboration with the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY). It aims to bring together industry experts, policymakers, academics, and technology enthusiasts to brainstorm strategies to build a future-ready talent pool for India and the world.
The summit will focus on four key themes, including the impact of rapid digitization across the globe, and the emergence of new opportunities for young Indians in next-generation technologies such as AI, ML, Semiconductors, Robotics, CyberSecurity and others.
The summit aims to develop a roadmap in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision to transform India into a global talent hub and capitalize on the opportunities offered by emerging technologies.
The summit is expected to witness more than 20 strategic collaborations between NIELIT and other organizations such as Intel, HCL, Microsoft, Kindryl and more. The summit will also feature a panel discussion on future skills for India, featuring eminent personalities from industry and academia.
The speakers at the summit will discuss the importance of skills development for future growth and the role of technology in building a more inclusive and sustainable society.
The Future Skills Summit 2024 will bring together industry experts, policymakers, educators, and technology enthusiasts to deliberate on the strategies for building future-ready talent for India and the world.
The summit aims to formulate a roadmap in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of transforming India into a global Talent hub and capitalising on the opportunities presented by emerging technologies.
