Firing incident at LoC in Jammu, BSF person from Mizoram killed

Aizawl: In a tragic incident on the Jammu and Kashmir border, 148 Bn Head Constable Lalthafamkima, a 50-year-old army veteran hailing from Durtlang North, Mizoram, was shot dead by Pakistani troops when he Was on duty.
The incident took place late on Monday night.
According to reports from local media, Head Constable Lalthafamkima was performing his duty at the border when the fatal attack took place around midnight.
He was immediately taken to a nearby hospital for medical attention, but despite the best efforts of the medical staff, he succumbed to his injuries.
Officials have confirmed that post-mortem of Lalthafamkima’s body will be conducted to collect necessary evidence, after which her remains will be shifted to Mizoram. Lalthafamkima is survived by his wife and three children.
