Fire in Manipur CID office, important documents burnt to ashes

Imphal: A major fire broke out at the Manipur Police’s Criminal Investigation Department (CID) office on Monday.

A fire broke out at the Manipur CID office,documents burnt around 2 am on Monday.

At least eight fire tenders rushed to the accident site in Imphal to douse the fire.

The actual cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.

However, it is suspected that the fire in the Manipur CID office was caused by a short circuit and documents burnt.
Precautionary measures were also initiated at Imphal West Police Station, Manipur Rifles, Imphal Secretariat, BSNL office.

These offices were located near Manipur.

Although the Fire Service Department of Manipur brought the fire under control, important documents and other office equipment in the CID office were completely destroyed in the fire.
