KOHIMA: The fourth and final round of the Indian National Rally Championship (INRC) ‘Rally of Nagaland’ was officially flagged off at the Indira Gandhi (IG) Hockey Ground by Youth Resources and Sports Department Adviser Zale Neikha Sent off from Stadium in Kohima on Thursday.
Organized by the Federation of Motor Sports Council of India (FMSCI), the sporting event is hosted by the Nagaland Adventure Club (NAC) in association with the state government.
Addressing the gathering, Neikha said that the event is an important moment for motor sports lovers. Introduced in Paris in 1894, he said the sport has now evolved as technology has seen growth promoting the sport, driving and drivers to attract foreign tourists. will, and tourism income will increase.
He informed that the recently held talent hunt, as part of the event, provides a platform for the young budding talent of the state to equip rally cars with a fully equipped mechanic team.
Zale praised the Nagaland Adventure Club (NAC) for promoting motor sports in the state and hoped that it would put the state on the national map with the help of the Federation of Motor Sports Clubs of India (FMSCI). Will stand up.
NAC member Bharat Prasad presided over the flag-off, while event convenor Peter Rutsa presented the welcome note, and INRC Blue Band Sports Chief Promoter Premnath K delivered the keynote address.
The Khonoma stage will take place on Friday on the Khonoma-Dzüleke route from 6 am while the Kohima stage will take place the next day from Mission Road to IG Stadium.
The podium ceremony will be held at RCEMPA, Jotsoma on January 14 at 4pm. Earlier, the first phase was held in Chennai, the second phase in Coimbatore and the third phase in Bengaluru.
