Nagaland: The NSCN/GPRN, UT has issued a statement explaining the false allegations leveled by the Assam Rifles, accusing them of kidnapping and kidnapping for ransom. This statement came in response to various print media and news channels reporting on the matter.
In order to set the record straight and remove misunderstandings, NSCN/GPRN, UT has provided the details of persons who were detained in UT Correction Cell. The arrested persons are as follows: Mr. Huvito for loan fraud, Mr. Raj Kumar Das and Mr. Raj Kumar Gupta for possession of illegal SP capsules and ganga, Mr. Mlutio for loan fraud, Mr. Piyar Ali for drug possession. Charged with possession of (heroin). , and Mr. Akito Kiba for document forgery.
The UT office has said that the above details have been taken in public interest. The exponential growth of drug users among the young Naga people, especially between the age group of 15 to 25 years, has prompted the UT office to tackle the problem at the earliest opportunity. The NSCN/GPRN, UT has also reiterated its resolve to hunt down anti-social elements, such as drug and chemical suppliers, who are trying to uproot the careers and lives of the Naga youth.
NSCN/GPRN, UT has called upon the law enforcement agencies, including the Assam Rifles, to focus on nabbing inter-state drug traffickers and bringing them to justice. He also urged the Assam Rifles to perform their duties professionally and stop the flow of illegal drugs in the Naga areas.
